INTERRUPTION OF WATER SUPPLY DUE TO A MAJOR PIPE BURST NEXT TO WELINGTON PRISON THAT SUPPLIES THE NORTHERN AREAS

O.R. Tambo District Municipality would like to notify Northcrest residents and all areas that are in close proximity, that there is going to be water interruptions due to a major pipe burst next to Wellington Prison. In an attempt to solve the problem, our teams are working hard in the affected area, while they are awaiting an excavator that is required to assist as the area is inaccessible to normal machines.

Water supply is currently closed in order to prevent water loss and the affected areas are: Northcrest, Hillcrest, Ncambedlana, Fernhill, The Palms, Maiden Farm and New Homes Residents.
We will keep residents updated as the work progresses until normal water supply is restored.

The Municipality would also like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
